please dont flag this video, Im on my last warning with youtube, every other time I post a video of a fight they threaten to ban me for misuse of the site, “youtube is not a shock site” they wrote to me last time –
even though there are real life executions shown elsewhere on youtube, and plenty of clips from torture themed horror movies of people being boiled, beaten, buggered, butchered, burnt, bastinado’d, buried (alive), bullied, battered, broken and… uh… brutally bashed.
How many attempts can you see the guard make to end the fight?
You can see he is well trained, fitter, stronger and more skilled than gangly haymaker man so what went wrong?
I suspect with only a few adjustments this fight could have gone a very different way – what would you suggest?
In terms of combative principles, how did he score for 1.preemption (any preemptive movement, not necessarily a preemptive strike, just attacking the attacker, not waiting and responding to an attack) 2. aggression 3. explosivity 4.penetration 5. precision 6. efficiency 7. asymmetry 8.choice of reliable/hi percentage shots
I found watching this in slo mo really instructive so I thought I’d share. I might just be a bit aspergers though so who knows…
You can see the Guard really favours the thai cover/ crazy monkey response to the dominant handed attacks of gangly man followed with right hooks and uppercuts – an infighter who never really gets stuck “in” …in this altercation.
Why? Could be down to psychological aversion to fighting close to someone you find repulsive, unconscious drive to “push the threat away”, trained fear of std’s/weapons/needles or just a gap in his training. What do you think?

Richie,
There were several punches that didn’t land as well as they could of, including both knee stirkes. With the chaos of the fight, I might have done worse. The first knee looked like it grazed his side & struck his arm, & the second, though it caught the opponents head, it was more of a strike from his thigh. Again the chaos of the fight makes it hard to land. He looked like some good uppercuts, then a few others didn’t hit their mark. Thought the officer or security person did as well or better than I could have. Love the clip though.
richie,
i reckon the officer in the clip was over whelmed with adrenlin in fight mode forcing him to miss alot of his punches and knee strikes, the fight scenario was so pumped up thst one strike action could have ended it there and then especially the right cross at the start if it connected right it was game over for the gang member, who didnt seem to have much of a fence either, good clip richie, keep it real homie..lol..just messin mate!
aye, keep it real on the west side etc etc
credo che non serve essere pugili.o praticare, qualsiasi arte di difesa:krav maga.etc etc ,l’importante e’ la parte psicologica !
I agree. In my opinion, i think the fight would have ended sooner if the guard would have stuck to the guy and stayed on the inside more, maybe latched onto the guy while striking, instead of disengaging and swinging, just trading blows like he did a few times. Also, there were some openings to possibly throw lower line knees to the groin and legs instead of to the head and a few openings for a shot to the eyes or to use a C grip instead of throwing uppercuts and hooks.
